Waxed cord is a very popular cord and extremely suitable for making knotted bracelets. There are two types of cord within our range: waxed cotton cord and waxed polyester cord.

The waxed cotton cord looks more like a thin rope and has quite an authentic look. You can choose from different thicknesses starting from 0.5 mm up to to 2 mm. The waxed cotton cord is wound on rolls of 25, 90, 100 and even 500 meters. Depending on your jewelry project, you can choose the desired length.

The waxed polyester cord has that well-known wax layer. This makes this waxed cord shine a lot more than the waxed cotton cord. Our waxed polyester cord is available in different sizes, starting from 0.5 mm and packaged per 10, 15 and 25 metres. Both waxed cords are ideal for making knotted bracelets. There is only one important difference: the ends of the waxed polyester cord can be burned with a lighter in order to seal them. However this does not apply to the waxed cotton cord. The advantage of burning the ends of the waxed polyester cord is to prevent them from splitting and also making it easier to string.
